I attach PDFs to my projects to track changes on print items I manage. I recently discovered the mark-up tools available in the attached PDFs and am very excited about the possibilities.
However, what would greatly increase the usefulness is the ability to attach uploaded files to an email from Clarizen. Adding an attachment option to the email window would be great. Also adding an email button to the File Details screen would make it very easy to send project files to those who don't have Clarizen. When using an email button from an attachment, I would want to be able to link it to or reference specific tasks or Milestones within the project.

Hi Boris. I agree that attaching uploaded files to emails to external users would be very helpful. I clicked on the link and tried searching for the CR number but found nothing. Do you have an update on this?

This Change Request to add the ability to add attachments within Email Editor has not been implemented yet. I will be sure to add you to the Change Request so that you are notified.
In the meantime, there is a workaround where you can create a Custom Action that will send an email with an attachment.

I attended the webinar today. She was able to show me a way to create a custom action attached to the organization. When chosen from the dialog box, it prompts the user with a request to attach a file to an email and then sends an email to the address hard coded in the custom action.
This is not really what we want. When we are in a project and click on the Email to.. button, we'd like a button there to attach a file.
If you want to see the custom action, it's called Attach file to email.

I understand the need. This has been raised already with our Product team. I will be sure that you are part of the escalation so that they see there are more customers wanting this. Currently, there is no way to do this as the Email To editor would have to be rebuilt.
I believe this is planned for later this year when we plan to release a number of 'Usability Improvements' but currently there is no ETA for the release.

No updates at this point. This was originally done on purpose to encourage more users to leverage Social versus the email functionality.
Is this CR still on the dev roadmap? This represents a significant gap in functionality vs your competitors.
