Tasks and or Requests going thru clarizen are forwarded to outlook

Is it possible to have any tasks or requests assigned to you sent out as a notification to your outlook?
I am not always at my desk, I downloaded the app to resolve this issue but does not resolve it. I do not know when i get a request/ task in and it causes me to get behind on my work flow... Is there anyway i can avoid this and have some sort of notification letting me know when a new task or request come in?

There are 2 apps you can use for this:
1) Clarizen Anywhere Outlook Add-in http://www.clarizen.com/appsmarketplace/item/Clarizen-Anywhere-Outlook-Add-in.html

This app allows you to view and modify your tasks, report time and also create new tasks from Outlook.

2) Resource Notifications http://www.clarizen.com/appsmarketplace/item/Resource-Notifications.html

This app will send you an email when you are assigned or removed from active tasks. Please note that it also includes a rule to notify your direct manager when you are assigned a task so if you do not want that functionality you just need to delete or disable that workflow rule

Hi Lori,
If you meant you'd like an email message sent whenever you (or other users) are assigned a task or a case, it's definitely possible. Please check out the following:
1. Browse to Clarizen Apps Marketplace (http://www.clarizen.com/appsmarketplace.html) and search for 'email'. There are a number of apps the Clarizen account administrator can install (once, for the entire Clarizen account) with workflow rules that trigger email messages when events occur, including assignment of tasks. The rules can be changed and customized to your organization's needs.
2. You may also check system setting 10.4 'Automatic notification subscription of case creator, owner, assignee and evaluator'. You may find it useful for Case (Issues, Requests, Risks, Bugs) related emails.

Hope this helps,
Ophir
