'Show at Runtime' feature when running Reports within a Dashboard

It seems that when you run reports within a Dashboard, if they have filters configured as Show at Runtime, you do not actually get a popup allowing you to set an option. The report simply uses the default value as set in the report config.

Also, this is likely a CR but it would make sense to allow users to create Dashboards with the same reports in this fashion where all they had to do was change filters in Dashboard config (without it affecting Report Config) instead of creating a new Report (i.e. using Save As).

We would request to view the Show at Runtime feature when running reports from a Dashboard.  Please advise if this is on the roadmap and the timing.

Hello Jodi, unfortunately we have no ETA on when this feature will be implemented. We will post any new information we receive on this post as soon as possible!

We would take advantage of this feature TODAY were it available. We want the ability to create a Dashboard, and then allow a filter to be applied to the Dashboard such that each report on the Dashboard accepts the filter.

Our use case involves building out extensive reports that are global in nature, but the user wants to temporarily view those reports in terms of a single Project, or Customer, or User. For example, I may want to build a series of reports that display performance of a team. (Hours on Timesheets, Billable Hours, Resource Utilization, Direct Managers, etc.) and during a 1x1 with a specific employee of that team, I want to see all the same data for that individual.

It's not scalable to build a report and continually "Save As". Not only is it time-consuming to build, it leads to report sprawl. And if a modification is requested (adding a column of data, or tuning a filter, as examples), one must now revise every single "Saved As" report.

We use this feature heavily with other tools and am surprised Clarizen hasn't built this one yet. Please add me to the list of requesting customers.

Hello,

Is this CR-253471 already in production? If not, what is the ETA? This would be useful for us.

Thanks

Totally agree with Matthew!  We would find this very helpful and productive as well.  Please add us to the list of customers requesting this.  Thanks.

With filters and time phased reporting GAed, this kind of feature would be very helpful for end users.

I have created team dashboards where I'm training members to pop into the dashboard and adjust filters. It would be great if they could adjust certain values before the dashboard has to load.

Is this currently on the road map?

Have a similar requirement as mentioned in this thread...

We would like the ability to set Dashboard Runtime options, which prompt the user when the dashboard is opened to specify values (as there is with Reporting Runtime options). Whilst the filters are available once the dashboard is loaded, its not as intuitive as being prompted when opening it, potentially leading to confusion, or proliferation of dashboards with filters pre-set (making an admin overhead to update multiple identical dashboards).
