Unfollow multiple projects easily

Ability to unfollow projects in a quick way, want a way to 'mass change' the projects she is following. Something that is similar to an editable report or something where she can check/uncheck projects to follow.

Wants something that gives a list of all projects she is following and want to be able to just go down the list and 'uncheck' the ones she doesn't want to follow anymore. Similar to turning on and off email notifications.

For future reference the request ID is CR-331861

As of right now the only way to unfollow a project is to drill down into the project and click on the following button in the top menu.

I am also interested in this. Please add me to the list of customers. Are there any updates on the progress for this request?

for what its worth, we've implemented a custom action at the project level that unfollows selected users throughout the hierarchy (assuming the hierarchy isn't huge). depending on the use case, you can have workflows that 'unfollow' users that the system automatically follows.  however, the broader perspective is probably 'better' use of the social module by the users.  we do a lot of socialization around that as well.  turning off following is basically giving up on the collaboration.

The issue we have is that we are going to be doing a huge import (about 350 Customers with Projects/Tasks in each), so the user that performs the import is automatically added as a Follower on every single item. That is why we'd like the ability to remove that person after the import.

In that case a wf should work. Agree that it doesn't replace the need for more control. Btw, the importer is added as a follower because that person now has a role. Once they are replaced by the correct user, they will be removed from following.

The user may be replaced by the correct user, but they are still a "follower" on milestones and tasks.

Ariel - would you be willing to share how you wrote that custom action?

You can expand the logic to leave the user name blank and then remove ALL followers, but this version below removes a selected user from the entire hierarchy, whereas what the first question above is asking for will not remove a user from following sub items.

Ariel, Would you mind changing the syntax to remove following for all users on a project?
