Time Reporting Compliance: Calendar Working Hours instead of Contract Hours

Has anyone modified TRC app to check compliance against Calendar Working Hours instead of Compliance Hours?

This will save resources to do time sheets when they have already done PTO.

I guess you would need to alter the code to set the compliance hours to be the available hours from the users calendar, but my issue is that I can't see how to get the available hours to do that.

As an alternative, would it work if you created a workflow that created (And approved) a time sheet entry to match the PTO request when the PTO is entered? That way the user does need to submit a time sheet for their PTO and the TRC will still work using Compliance Hours as the time sheet entries will cover the PTO.

Hope that helps,

Phil

Hi Avnish,

I would suggest either to use

GetWorkingTimeForGivenPeriod(user,dateTime1,dateTime2)

If you use the PTO app, you can modify it and submit time entries on the user's behalf in the non-working days (in case this is the solution you are looking for I would love to elaborate more on how to do so).

Please let me know if one of those options work.

Good luck!

Thanks, Tamir

Yes, we are using PTO and  we would like to modify Time Reporting Compliance so we don't need to do PTOs for everyone - particularly on public holidays.

Also, TRC should only notify if working hours are not reported ( Contract Hours - PTO)

Hi Avnish,

Your request make sense, but it is very hard to provide/recommend a solution without proper scoping and looking into your specific environment and make sure the solution provided will work in conjunction with the existing configurations.

I would suggest reaching out to your CSM - Matt Gathercole and do a proper discovery-scope-design and then have that executed as part of a PS engagement.

Good luck!
