Salesforce Integration - Link Claizen project with SFDC Account

We create our projects in Clarizen and then use a trigger to sync the projects into Salesforce.  I have an existing workflow rule to map all Accounts from SFDC into Clarizen as a Customer.  For each project we create, we associate with a Customer in Claizen.  How do I use the automated sync to link the projects with the SFDC Account? I am currently doing this manually every week.

Hi Farhan,

You'll need to have the Account to Customer mapping correctly configured as well as the Project to Project mapping.

In the Project to Project mapping, scroll down to section 4 'Create Clarizen Links' and configure it like so:

Then, verify in your Account to Customer mapping that you key fields are using a unique identifier, so not a text field like 'Name'.

Here's an example of a properly configured Account to Customer mapping using a unique key field:

Please note that every organizations configurations can be highly customized, so if this doesn't work for you, please reach out to suppport@clarizen.com to investigate the issue. This will not create links retroactively, so only new project records going forward. If it's a custom integration, we may need to involve professional services to insure a successful solution.

Hi Vaneesa, thanks for this information.  For section 4, I had it linked based on the Opportunity ID and not the Account ID, so I made that change.  For my Account to Customer mapping, it is currently setup to map Customer to Customer Name (not SFDC ID).  However, I don't see SFDC ID as an option.  Is this a custom field I need to add in Clarizen?

Hi Farhan,

Yes, the SFDC ID field is a custom field, text type. This maps to the Account ID field in Salesforce. Like so:

I see.  Is there a reason I can't set it up to map based on SFDC.Account Name to Clarizen.Customer Name?  Our names are unique in Salesforce
