Custom Picklist options list

Hi

We are adding few custom pick lists and adding options. Then we stumbled that there can be only a max of 120 options in it. How can be add more, are there any work arounds?

Ex: Picklist for US city names, custom list of options. We are trying to avoid user typos while the enter the data

Hello Pranaya,

 

You should be able to add more options to the picklist using Data Loader.

Awesome!!! Great :) Will there be any impact if we add around 10,000 list options?

Also, is there any possibility of adding additional columns to the pick list? We are trying to build a custom pick list, which is dependent up on Customer. When a customer is selected, we should be filtered options from this new picklist.

Hello Pranay, 

 

As highlighted by Josh 10,000 item picklist may impact performance. As for adding columns, I don't believe that is possible.
